FTMTA Farm Machinery Trade Auction

Auction 2

The FTMTA has this week announced a new departure for the Association and the wider farm machinery trade. The Association, in conjunction with well known auctioneering firm Paul Cooke Auctions, will hold a first auction of stock from FTMTA member firms only at Punchestown Event Centre on Saturday, September 30th. This will be a national auction of machines and parts and will accept lots from all FTMTA member firms including retail dealers, manufacturers and distributors. As an auction promoted by the representative body of the Irish farm machinery trade, this event is sure to attract a high number of quality lots from farm machinery businesses across the country and this, in turn, is sure to attract a good level of interest from potential purchasers both at home and abroad.

Paul Cooke Auctions is based in Naas and has a growing reputation as an auctioneer dealing with farm machinery and plant equipment among other products. The Association is pleased to partner with the team at Paul Cooke Auctions in the introduction of this innovative service for FTMTA member firms. Furthermore the Association believes that the Punchestown site is the ideal venue for such a national event and will also be very accessible for international buyers and transport.

Viewing will be open at Punchestown, the long time home of the biennial FTMTA Farm Machinery Show, on the two days prior to the auction, Thursday and Friday, September 28th and 29th. In what is sure to be an attractive feature of the event, tractors and self propelled lots, will be sold in a drive – through auction to be held in the main event centre building. Bidding will be possible onsite, online or through a pre bid service.

FTMTA members have received information about the auction in recent days and further information is available from the FTMTA office on 045 409309 or at info@ftmta.ie.
