From modest beginnings in 1988 Distag has evolved into a leading manufacturer, importer, and distributor with over 115 employees over 3 locations in Ireland & the U.K.
We specialise in the supply of components from the following Product categories,
- Trailer Parts, Our range of axles and suspensions mainly produced by HOS which sees an output of over 12,000 axles per year into the Irish & UK market.
To complete our trailer parts range, we offer Flexequip & Wabco Air braking systems, Plug & Play lighting systems for OEM’s and in excess of over 9500 Towing Eyes per annum to our OEM customer base.
- Hydraulics, Our Hydraulics range includes Flexepulse hose & fittings, Holmbury quick release couplings and Valves, Accumulators and Motors from Hydac and Italian producers.
- Pix & Powerdrive Components, Exclusive distributors for Pix belts for Ireland and U.K and the Powerdrive range of Chain and Sprockets, we have recently expanded our bearing range based off our experience of supply to the Materials processing market.
- OEM BESPOKE, Using many years of engineering experience in sourcing across Asia, This experience and supply base allow us to offer a complete ‘outsourcing’ solution for buyers and production engineers who are looking to save costs by sourcing in the Far East – but don’t want the associated ‘hassle-factor’.
What’s new for 2025/26?
Our Trailer Parts Team have put significant work into the development of Trailer Electronic Steering systems and we are delighted to launch this over the next few weeks, alongside this we have been closely working with some of our customers supplying Tyre Inflation Systems. Alongside a new range of car trailer parts for OEM’s and aftermarket customers.
Our Hydraulics division is delighted to announce we are now Hydac distributors and this continues our push to supply more complete Electro Hydraulic Systems to our OEM supply base as well as a full aftermarket range of Hydac Components.
Our OEM team continuous to develop various new projects and find solutions for customers to ease on labour shortages in the market, whilst our Power transmission team continue to develop their range of bearings.
