FTMTA AGM:
The April meeting of the FTMTA Executive Council set Thursday, June 16th, as the date for the 2011 annual general meeting of the Association. The AGM will be held at the Association’s premises near Naas at 6.15pm on that date. Full details of the agenda for the AGM will be sent to all member firms in the second half of May. Vehicle Registration Tax (VRT) Increase The flat rate of VRT on all category C vehicles, including agricultural vehicles, will increase from €50 to €200 per vehicle from May 1st. All tractors registered from that date will be at the €200 rate. This will apply to all tractors being registered for the first time irrespective of whether they are new units or used machines that have never previously been registered in the State such as imports from the UK.
FTMTA Golfing Society:
The summer outing of the FTMTA Golfing Society will take place at Dundrum House Golf Club, Dundrum,Co. Tipperary on Friday ,May20th,. Tee times will be between 12.00 to 1.30pm. The cost of the outing is €50 per person to cover golf and dinner. Full details and booking forms will be circulated to those who indicated that they wished to receive this material earlier in the year. Any other personnel from FTMTA member firms interested in participating in the outing should contact the FTMTA office on info@ftmta.ie or 045 409309 to receive further information. The closing date for receipt of entries is Friday, May 13th. Farm Machinery Safety FTMTA continue to call on those active in agriculture and using agricultural machinery to be mindful of their own, and others, safety. It is sad to note a number of farm workplace accident related fatalities in recent weeks. As we move towards the summer months the need for vigilance is all the greater.
