FTMTA National Conference 2015
The FTMTA National Conference will be held in The Heritage Hotel, Killenard, Co. Laois, on Friday, November 20th. The theme of the conference will be “Driving Your Business Forward” and a panel of high calibre speakers is being assembled to address issues of particular relevance to the farm machinery industry.
The international manufacturer slot at the conference, filled in previous years by Trevor Tyrell of Claas, Edward Stephenson of John Deere and Andrew Watson of New Holland, has proven popular in the past and will this year feature William Judge of AGCO who has recently been appointed to the role of Sales Manager for the Massey Ferguson brand in UK and Ireland. Details of other speakers will be confirmed in the coming days.
As always with such events, the Association encourages members to take one day out of their own business to instead look at and think about the business. The typical farm machinery firm in Ireland, led by an owner manger and encompassing a number of distinct commercial activities such as sales, parts and service, is a complex and demanding business. It can be all too easy for the ongoing management of the business to overshadow its long term strategic development
An important social and networking dimension will be added to the conference this year by a reception and conference dinner to be held on the evening of the conference and made possible by the generous support of the Irish Farmers Journal.
Full details and booking forms in relation to the conference will be issued to member firms in the near future and the conference will be open to FTMTA member firms only.
