FTMTA Farm Machinery Show

Getting Ready for FTMTA Farm Machinery Show 2015

Preparations are moving into high gear for the farm machinery highlight of 2015, the biennial FTMTA Farm Machinery Show at Punchestown Racecourse, Naas, Co. Kildare, with contractors beginning site work in early January. The Show is organised by the Farm Tractor & Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) with the guiding principle that it is “organised by the trade for the farmer and contractor”.

The Show will continue its three day format and will run from Thursday, February 5th, to Saturday, February 7th. The Show opens to the public at 10am each day and closes at 6pm on Thursday and Friday and at 5pm on Saturday. The organisers have continued the inclusion of a Saturday with the intention of making Ireland’s premier farm machinery event more accessible to part time farmers and others who may find it difficult to attend on a week day.

The FTMTA Farm Machinery Show 2015 has attracted a capacity level of exhibitors and the exhibition space has been increased by an additional 800 square metres making this the biggest such event ever held. The Show will comprise three exhibition pavilions totaling 11,500 square metres of indoor, heated, exhibition space as well as the largest ever area of outdoor displays. Over 130 exhibitors will exhibit across nearly 160 indoor stands and over 30 outdoor display areas.

As always, the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show features exhibits of the latest farm mechanisation technology from major suppliers active in the Irish market. One of the advantages of the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show is that the customer has the opportunity to meet product experts from the various manufacturers and as all exhibitors listed at the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show are individual exhibitors there is no duplication of exhibits.

The 2013 Show was the best attended Show up to that time, with approximately 18,000 visitors over the three days; 7,000 people visited the Show on the Saturday which was the largest single day attendance ever at an FTMTA Farm Machinery Show. As always, the machinery buyer (farmer or contractor) will use the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show to research their purchasing decisions in comfort.

Tickets can either be bought at the Show on the day or, on line, in advance from a link on the home page of the FTMTA website at www.ftmta.ie which will take you to the secure ticket sales site. People buying tickets in this way will receive an e ticket by email. The online tickets are available at a cost of €15 as against a charge of €20 for admission on Show days.
