FTMTA Farm Machinery Trade Auction

More Machines for FTMTA Auction

As more lots continue to be consigned to the first ever FTMTA Farm Machinery Trade Auction, the advice from the Association to members considering selling machines or parts at the auction is to book them in as early as possible.  While lots will be accepted until the week before the sale, vendors are encouraged to maximise their chances of obtaining the best possible selling price on the day by early booking to ensure the most exposure for each lot.  Early booking will allow all lots to be marketed to the best possible extent to potential buyers in advance of the auction which can be instrumental in ensuring that the right buyers are present and bidding to deliver maximum value for specific items.

Interest in the auction, to be held, in conjunction with Paul Cooke Auctions, at Punchestown Event Centre near Naas on Saturday, September 30th has been very strong so far from both FTMTA members and potential bidders. The Auction is being organised by FTMTA as a service to the machinery trade membership of the Association and will feature lots from FTMTA members only, be they dealers, manufacturers or distributors. An interesting aspect of the auction is that is unreserved with no minimum prices set for lots. FTMTA Chief Executive, Gary Ryan states that the decision to go with an unreserved auction was made to attract potential buyers who can bid on the machines in which they are interested secure in the knowledge that the sellers of these lots are serious about selling. The aim of the Association in promoting the auction is to provide another sales channel to members to move surplus stock; to do this will require a cohort of quality buyers and the marketing of the auction is driven by attracting such buyers.

Many of the lots entered thus far, including numerous very well presented items,  can be viewed at www.paulcookeauctions.com .Viewing will be open at Punchestown Event Centre on the two days prior to the auction, Thursday and Friday, September 28th and 29th.  Bidding on sale day will be possible onsite, online or through a pre bid service. To bid at the auction, potential buyers must first place a bidding deposit with the auctioneers and this is fully refundable in the event of not making a purchase.
