The FTMTA National Conference for 2012 will be held in Portlaoise on Thursday, November 29th. Full details in relation to the conference will be issued to member firms in the coming days.
This will be the fourth consecutive year in which FTMTA has held a national conference and, as in previous years, a high calibre panel of speakers will address issues of relevance to the machinery industry. The conference is made possible, as in 2010 and 2011, thanks to the generous sponsorship of FTMTA member firm Genfitt.
The conference will be chaired by Mr. Matt Dempsey, Editor of the Irish Farmers Journal. Among the confirmed speakers is Ms. Mairead McGuinness, MEP for Ireland East, who serves on the European Parliament’s Agriculture and Rural Development Committee and the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety.
Prior to becoming an MEP, Ms. McGuinness was a well-known journalist, broadcaster and commentator agricultural and rural matters.
