Preparations for FTMTA Auction
Preparations continue to advance for the first ever FTMTA Farm Machinery Trade Auction to be held, in conjunction with Paul Cooke Auctions, at Punchestown Event Centre near Naas on Saturday, September 30th. Interest in the auction, which will sell lots from FTMTA member firms only, has been very strong so far from both FTMTA members and potential bidders. The Association expects a big turnout at the Punchestown venue at the end of September with the unreserved nature of the auction sure to attract many interested machinery buyers and users. The drive – through sales ring in the event centre building, featuring tractors and other self propelled lots, is also proving to be an interesting and attractive feature for many and is an aspect that makes good use of the available space and facilities in Punchestown.
In excess of 225 lots representing a wide variety of machinery types have already been entered and the size of the sale is expected to continue to grow right up to the days before the auction. Many of the lots entered thus far, including numerous very well presented items, can be viewed at www.paulcookeauctions.com with more being added on an ongoing basis. Viewing will be open at Punchestown, the long time home of the biennial FTMTA Farm Machinery Show, on the two days prior to the auction, Thursday and Friday, September 28th and 29th. FTMTA members are encouraged to book equipment in for sale as early as possible to allow all lots be marketed to the best possible extent in advance of the auction which can be instrumental in ensuring that the right buyers are present to deliver maximum value for specific items.
