Biggest Ever FTMTA Farm Machinery Show

The FTMTA Farm Machinery Show 2019 will take place at Punchestown Racecourse near Naas, Co. Kildare on February 7th, 8th and 9th and will be largest such event ever held. The Show was first held in the RDS in Dublin during February of 1989 and the upcoming Show will mark the 30th anniversary of Ireland's flagship farm machinery event with an impressive expansion in scale even in comparison to recent years.

There has been a huge level of interest in the upcoming Show and FTMTA are looking forward to welcoming in excess of 160 exhibiting firms to Punchestown in February. The decision by the Association to increase the maximum allowable open stand size has been very well received and many exhibitors have opted to significantly increase the size of their stands at the 2019 Show. Practically all the major national and international machinery brands active in the Irish market will exhibit at the Show which in many cases will be the only Irish event that they will participate in during 2019.          At which the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show, customers have a unique opportunity to meet product experts from the various manufacturers and distributors. Unlike some other events, all exhibitors listed as exhibiting at the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show are individual exhibitors with no subletting of stands, duplication of exhibits or second hand machinery permitted.

A new dimension has been added to this year's Show with the introduction of "Working Wonders"; this public competition will select a tractor that most captures the public's imagination from a variety of well loved tractors in regular farming use. The winning criteria are ultimately a matter for those voting but are sure to include considerations such as the condition and presentation of the tractor as well as its suitability for the duties required of it.

Six finalists were selected online by public vote over recent weeks and will be displayed at the entrance to the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show over the three days of the Show. Visitors to the Show will be able to cast their vote for the overall winner at the Working Wonders area as they exit the Show. The winner will be announced on the last day of the Show.

The overall winner will receive a voucher for €3,000 worth of tractors tyres from FTMTA member firm, and long time exhibitor at the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show, Agrigear Ltd. of Bailieborough, Co. Cavan. FTMTA are thankful to Agrigear for the generous sponsorship of the Wording Wonders competition.
